In William Francis Hoffman’s musical Cal in Camo, he plays a character named Flynt, who is dealing with the grief of losing his wife by spending time with his sister and her husband, who are facing their own demons. Each character in the ambiguous play have one main thing in common, they are all lost and trying to find themselves again. Playing his role as Flynt in Cal in Camo was very different compared to the role he played as Stefan Salvatore in The Vampire Diaries for almost eight years. He spoke in an interview about how working on the same script for months helps you discover and learn more everyday about who your character truly is.
