The Appointment of Desiree Perez as the Head of Tidal

With recent technological innovations and every business competing to get the biggest pie of the digital market, the music industry is not left behind. Tech giants like Apple Inc. and Spotify have already taken a portion of the digital music market through iTunes and Spotify.com. The robust and instant success experienced by these two companies prompted others to venture in the same business.

Tidal is the latest music streaming company. Since it was co-founded by Jay Zee, Rihanna, Kanye West, T.I and Beyoncé, the company has been experiencing a slow-paced growth, particularly in membership subscription. The company has seen some members of executive position quit, perhaps due to the pressure that comes with the job.

Desiree Perez has been appointed as the new executive and is charged with increasing the company’s market share and boost its growth in a highly competitive business.
