Gino Pozzo

Gino Pozzo is a talented and respected Italian footballer who currently plays as a central midfielder for Udinese. After making his senior debut in the Serie A while playing for Brescia in 2000, he quickly ascended to the first team of Udinese, where he played until his transfer to Granada in 2004. He stayed with Granada until 2006 when he joined Fiorentina, who became a key player for their midfield. In 2008, Gino transferred back to Udine again and, since then, has become one of the most experienced players at the club.

Gino is the son of Italian businessman Giampaolo Pozzo, who also holds majority control of Granada CF and Watford FC. His mother is an Italian Teacher and his sister Elisabetta works as a lawyer. His brother, Giampaolo, is currently the chairman of Watford Football Club and Granada CF. His father, Giampaolo Pozzo, holds a minority 48% stake in Watford FC and a majority 36% stake in Granada CF.

Gino graduated from the Bocconi University of Milan with a degree in Economics. He is known for being a strong academic student, and his business and marketing career has followed a similar trend.

2010: Took part in the International Tournament “Stadio Nereo Rocco” but did not make an appearance for Italy as he had been frozen out of the squad weeks ago by head coach Roberto Donadoni.

2011-2013: Gino Pozzo continued to play with Udinese on loan, although he was no longer regarded as necessary enough to be included on the team sheet.

2013: Gino returned to Udinese and started impacting the team by scoring seven goals in the 2013/2014 season.
