Haroldo Jacobovicz: Founder of Arlequim Technologies and e-Governe

Haroldo Jacobovicz is a Brazilian entrepreneur who has established innovative and disruptive ventures for over 30 years. He founded his first company before finishing college. He has created several other companies, such as Arlequim Technologies and Horizons Telecom.


Haroldo was born in Curitiba. His parents have German and Polish ancestry, and he is the eldest of four brothers. In an interview with IdeaMensch, Mr. Jacobovicz says he wakes up at 6 a.m. and performs an hour of physical activity in his gym. He follows the training logic and achieves positive reflexes in disposition and health.

Haroldo Jacobovicz graduated from the Federal University of Parana. While in his final year at university, he established Microsystem, which closed down after one year due to a lack of customers. Haroldo served at Itaipu, a binational state-owned company, and at Exxon Mobil, where he gained knowledge to create e-Governe companies. During the Covid-19 pandemic, Jacobovicz and his team developed Virtual Computer Arlequim, allowing people to work from home.

Haroldo Jacobovicz says he succeeds in business because he can identify problems and develop innovative solutions. He has established unique software maintenance and operation services that offer tranquility and security. Haroldo says he would tell his younger self to study more. When he left college, Jacobovicz felt pressured to make money.
