Information about André Des Rochers

André Des Rochers grew up in France, where he studied architecture at the École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Versailles-Val-de-Reuil before pursuing acting in New York City. He has worked in numerous films and TV series since then, such as “Holy Cow,” “Sleepwalk with Me,” “The Newsroom,” and “Orange Is the New Black.” He is currently seen in the Showtime series “I’m Dying Up Here.”

 

His theater credits include “More Stately Mansions” at the Public Theater, “The Realistic Joneses” at the Lucille Lortel Theatre. André Des Rochers credits also include “My Name Is Asher Lev” at the Roundabout Theatre Company. He is also a musician and a composer who wrote the score for his film debut, “The Perfect Family.”

 

Awards and Nominations

André Des Rochers’ work in the film “Holy Cow” earned him a nod for Breakthrough Actor at the 2013 Gotham Awards. For his performance in “I’m Dying Up Here,” he was nominated for a 2018 Critics’ Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Movie/Miniseries and won the 2017 Indie Series Award for Best TV supporting Actor-Drama.

 

André Des Rochers is working on the film “Between Us,” which sounds like a love story, given its logline: “discovering that having it all is not always enough.” The Film and Television worlds have been kind to the successful attorney. They have awarded André Des Rochers nominations and awards, even though he has only found success in recent years. As the years go by, he will be in demand, and we hope to see more of him on our screens.
