Sudhir Choudhrie is an investor and businessman who has played a significant role in international commerce, philanthropy, politics, and diplomacy. He was brought up in India but now lives in the UK; Sudhir obtained British citizenship in 2010. He has been married for a long time and has two children, Dhairya and Bhanu. Choudhrie began his profession in India, creating Magnum International Trading Company in 1975. This firm focuses on the expansion and exploration of the Indian export market. Sudhir developed a strategic partnership with Taj Hotels and Resorts in 1995, which developed Taj Kerala and four local resorts.
Sudhir Choudhrie has involved himself in strategic relations between the UK and India; currently, he advises the Liberal Democrats of the UK, a political party he has backed for over ten years. Mr. Choudhrie is a member of Oxford University’s Vice-Chancellor’s Circle.
He is involved with multiple charities in the education and health fields in the US, UK, and India. Choudhrie is the Executive Director of Magnum International Trading Company (MITC) and Alpha Corp’s Development Deputy Chairman. He has a past job as the chair at Ebookers Plc.
Sudhir Choudhrie and Anita established the Stellar Art Foundation to collect Indian art. This foundation held its first presentation in 2015 in London, featuring M.F. Husain’s art. Mr. Choudhrie established the Choudhrie Family Foundation in 2010.
Its main purposes were to fund medical, educational, and health projects in the US, UK, and other nations. This foundation supports research and development in cardiovascular medications, and its main goal is to motivate people to be enrolled as organ donors.
